During March and April 2022, an exhibition of 60 works including paintings and photographs by artists from Alt and Baix Empordà, Northern Catalonia, Pla de l'Estany, Girona and Barcelona will be exhibited in the exhibition hall of our headquarters. A vision of the works on display.
On December 10, 2021, the ordinary general assembly of members and the extraordinary assembly of elections and change of mandate were convened. All members received the mandatory call by email and those who do not have it by post.
On November 23, a note was published in the regional press:
Due to the justified absence of the Secretariat, a provisional substitute was appointed among the attending partners and the partner Dionís Cañada volunteered.
The extraordinary assembly dealt with elections. President César Barrenechea Montero folded and only a single list headed by the Vice President, Mr. Barrenechea Montero, was presented. Fede Luque and that was approved in that same assembly.
Finally, a visit was made to the exhibition of artists from the other rooms of the headquarters.
On November 26, 2021, the 11th edition of the Poetic Evening of Friends of the Castle was celebrated with a magnificent cast of poets under the coordination of Carme Pagès.
On Friday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m., the presentation, at the headquarters of Amics del Castell de Sant Ferran, of the new book of Episodes of the Castle of Sant Ferran “HIJACKING IN SANT FERRAN” by J. Carlos Arroyo and edited by our Association. This number is the first of fission, not historical. An attempt has been made to recreate a situation in the Castle with fictional characters. The author was presented by the professor of Language and Literature Jordi Casals, who praised the author and analyzed some passages of the book. The event was a great success for the public.
On November 12, 2021 at 7:30 p.m., an atypical conference of the retired professor of language and literature, Ms. Consuelo Serra, took place, with the final title “De escritores y castillos“. He gave many examples of castles in Spain and other countries, mainly from Europe, and how, directly or indirectly, they relate to writers or their characters. It is worth listening to the video that accompanies this post. The speaker was presented by the professor of language and literature Maria Barios.
